The term XERC™ refers to a specific methodology that was developed in 2005 by Pedro Alvarez and who later coined the term in 2013 as a new Operational Excellence methodology for improving a business, just like “LEAN” or “Six-Sigma” but with focus on manufacturing via Engineering Research. In fact, he is an award-winning expert in manufacturing optimization, specialized in the utilization of methodologies and analysis of many different types of organizations and improving their profitability. He has 31 years of diverse manufacturing, Merger & Acquisition (M&A),  Corporate Optimization and Manufacturing Excellence experience. He has various degrees  and has trained at Toyota and currently holds one of the few official "Lean Sensei" certifications residing in Canada. He is also a Six-Sigma Blackbelt, among others.
